CT lawmakers vote to extend sick days to nearly all workers; bill heads to governor's desk

The legislation guarantees workers 40 hours per year of sick or paid time off, and will be phased-in over the next three years.

Nearly all workers in Connecticut will get paid sick day under a bill approved by Connecticut lawmakers Monday night.
The legislation guarantees workers 40 hours per year of sick or paid time off, and will be phased-in over the next three years.
On Monday afternoon, the state Senate took a final vote on it and sent it to Gov. Ned Lamont's desk.
Gov. Lamont says he will sign it.
The bill passed in the House about two weeks ago.
