Police say a woman in Bridgeport was shot to death before the apparent gunman killed himself Saturday.

Investigators say neighbors called police to the corner of Atwater and Norman streets just before 5 a.m. after they heard screams and gunshots. According to detectives, when they arrived, there was a woman dead inside a car in the driveway and another woman wounded by a gunshot.

Witnesses told officers the alleged gunman sped off in a blue Lexus. Police tracked down the vehicle at 195 Jones Ave. in Bridgeport and found a man dead inside the house with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
