Newtown's police chief is condemning the actions of two of his officers involved in a federal steroid sting.
Eight people, including a Newtown police officer and dispatcher, are facing charges over a steroid distribution ring.
Federal authorities say wiretaps led them to the arrests of Sgt. Steven Santucci and Newtown dispatcher Jason Chickos, of Bridgeport.
Santucci was the sergeant who became a public face of the Newtown Police Department following the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.
Santucci reportedly resigned Friday and now faces up to 10 years in prison.
