2nd suspect arrested in Ecuadorean man's killing

A second arrest was made Friday in the brutal beating of an Ecudorean immigrant last December, police say.
Prosecutors say Keith Phoenix, 28, was taken into custody at 201 Ravine Ave. in Yonkers following the release of a surveillance video, which shows Phoenix laughing as he paid a toll at the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge Dec. 7.
Police say the image was captured just 19 minutes after Phoenix and Hakeem Scott, 25, attacked Jose Sucuzhanay and his brother on a Brooklyn sidewalk with an aluminum baseball bat, yelling anti-Hispanic and anti-gay slurs. Sucuzhanay died five days later from his injuries.
Scott was taken into police custody Wednesday evening in the Bronx. Police say both men confessed to the attack and were charged with second-degree murder as a hate crime. BX man arrested in Ecuadorean man's death
