Arrest made in stabbing death of young mother found on Ansonia road
An arrest has been made in the stabbing death of a young mother found on an Ansonia road, police say.
They say Andre Le Francois, 22, is being held on $750,000 bond in the death of 20-year-old Rosali Acquefreda.
News 12 has previously reported that Acquefreda was found Sunday evening in the area of Coe and North Coe lanes. She died a short time later at the hospital.
Police say the two have a child together but were no longer a couple.
The arrest warrant has been sealed, but her family says this was a fatal case of domestic violence.
Her father, Joseph Francis Acquefreda Jr., says his daughter has had a toxic relationship with the suspect since she was 14 years old.
Le Francois is set to be arraigned Thursday.
