A Bridgeport business cracked a plan to have an egg-cellent sale on eggs Saturday.
Wade's Dairy, located on Barnum Avenue, sold cases of grade A farm fresh eggs for $20 until supplies ran out.
Each case contains 15 one dozen cartons, meaning each dozen was just $1.33
“We will give you a case of 15 dozen eggs for a measly $20 bill,” said CEO Doug Wade.
There was a limit of three cases per car.
The deal caused long lines in the area as people waited hours.
“I called my family yesterday. I told them don’t buy any eggs. Now I get the eggs and I just hand them out,” said James Murphy, of Bridgeport.
“It’s worth it for families,” said Bridgeport resident Beverly Tisdale.
All profits from the sale benefited Bridgeport Rescue Mission and Thomas Merton Center.
