Bridgeport police say they arrested seven men and a teen during a citywide sweep to get rid of illegal guns.
The seven men went before a judge yesterday, while the 17-year-old suspect had a separate hearing.
Police say they expect to make more arrests, and some of the suspects who have multiple felonies on their records may face federal charges.
