NORWALK - Three weeks to the day of the shooting in Newtown, community members in southwestern Connecticut released 26 sky lanterns for each of the victims.

The event was held at Rowayton Elementary School on Roton Avenue, and was organized by a local mother, Melissa Stefanowicz, and daughter who felt compelled to memorialize those who lost their lives. Stefanowicz says she has four children ranging in age from 6 to 14 years old.

As the lanterns lifted into the sky Friday, those who gathered said they hoped for some closure.
