NORWALK - Some people in Norwalk are upset about a road project that's blocking their driveways.
The area of concern is Woodbury Avenue.
Representatives from the Department of Public Works say crews are working on the streets and raising the curbs, and then they will pave the road. They say the project is necessary for safety reasons and to make snow removal easier in the winter.
The principle reason for raising the curbs, officials say, is to direct water so that the road drains properly.
But neighbors say they are frustrated by the construction because they are unable to come and go as they would like. Officials say some people on the street won't be able to use their driveways temporarily while crews work.
They say the work is expected to be complete by the end of May.
