One of the crew members on board the missing Titanic submersible recently lived in Kent and remains on the board of the Kent Memorial Library.
Paul Henry Nargeolet is a renowned expert, explorer and author on the subject of the Titanic. Nargeolet traveled to the ruins dozens of times, despite the dangers.
The director of the library says they are trying to stay positive, and says she is friends with Nargeolet and his wife.
The submersible went missing Sunday about halfway into its descent.
News 12 Connecticut spoke with journalist David Pogue Monday who says that if the sub has simply lost power it has a number of ways to surface. But if it is caught on a fishing net or the wreck, rescue will be almost impossible. Pogue took the same voyage last summer and the submersible went missing for a time then as well.
