An earthquake shook parts of the Hudson Valley Wednesday morning.
The Lamont Doherty Geological Observatory says a 2.2-magnitude quake occurred around 6:15 a.m.
The quake was centered 7.9 km southeast of West Point, and the effects could be felt in places like Peekskill, Shrub Oak and into Connecticut.
No damage has been reported.
One News 12 viewer says her whole house was rattled from the tremor. “The house shook and it felt like an explosion…it was very frightening,” says Deanna Lockwood, from Cortlandt Manor.
