Connecticut state police say they've arrested a former assistant chief of the Easton Fire Department for allegedly selling cocaine out of his Easton home.After a two-month investigation police arrested 60-year-old Ernest Ross at his home Thursday night at 310 Center Road. He was also charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Police say Ross was also selling the drugs at bars in Bridgeport and Fairfield.Police say 24-year-old Kevin Hughes, who also lived at the house, was arrested. Those who live in the quiet town of Easton say they are surprised to hear about what was allegedly going on right in their neighborhood.
