The vigil for 33-year-old Anthony Moran was held tonight at the Academy Hill Road.
Moran was the fatal victim on the accident that occurred Sunday on White Plains Road in Trumbull.
Moran's family said the Bridgeport resident was an I.T. specialist for the Stratford Board of Education.
Family and friends from all over the region gathered to remember his memory.
His father says Moran is now reunited with his mom, who passed away from a heart attack in March of 2020.
"He was broken hearted, we've all been broken hearted. He missed her very much," John Moran said. "That's the only real solace we can take out of this tragic accident is that he's up there with his mother, and we know he's happy, and we know he's at peace."
His family is remembering Moran as a lighthearted person who loved video games.
They said his gaming skills were as much about bringing people together as they were about entertainment.

Katielynne Bevino, a friend of Moran, connected with him through Pokémon Go at the War Memorial on Academy Hill.
"Anthony's legacy will be that he brought hundreds and hundreds of people together who have continued on friendships long after we first met just through this game," said Bevino.
Moran's gamer community said he was loved and respected by everybody who knew him.
Moran's wake will be at Pistey Funeral home in Stratford on Oct. 19.
