A fire at a multifamily home in Bridgeport has left 11 people displaced.
Officials believe the fire started at the back of the home on Wilmot Avenue. The flames then spread to the attic, leaving the siding melted and the house badly damaged.
Fire crews say they saw heavy smoke and flames when they arrived, but they were able to keep it from spreading to the houses nearby.
Utilities to the home have been shut off.
There were no reported injuries.
The Red Cross is helping the displaced residents.
