Friends of a man gunned down by police in Bridgeport say he didn't deserve to die.According to police, two officers spotted a car Wednesday wanted for an earlier robbery. When police tried to pull the car over, the suspect fled and made a sudden left on Iranistan Avenue. He then crashed into a parked car and a fence. Police say when they got out of their vehicle, the suspect drove toward the officers and that is when they opened fire. The suspect died at the scene. Police wouldn't say how many shots were fired, but say they believe the suspect was armed and that the officers? lives were in jeopardy.
