NORWALK - The state House has voted to deny Charla Nash’s request to sue the state.

Nash was blinded and disfigured by a friend's pet chimpanzee in 2009. She argued that the state knew the animal was dangerous and should have acted to move the chimp from the home.

Earlier this year, a legislative committee also denied her appeal.

The issue now heads to the state Senate.
