A group of Westport teens is lending a hand during this tough time by helping seniors run errands.
Ty Chung, a junior at Staples High School, says his mom came up with the idea of starting a free service to help those struggling with whether to go outside during the coronavirus outbreak.
"Because I'm younger and at a much lower risk than them, it's just safer for me to go out so I said you know what, sure," says Chung.
Chung recruited some of his friends and they were all eager to help out, especially since there is no school.

William Matar, Eduardo Andrade, Clare Holleman and Jonathan Lorenz say when they were asked they knew they wanted to help.
"I just really want to do anything I can," says Matar.
Anyone who needs something done can send an email to guyshelping@gmail.com. The requests so far have been for grocery shopping.
Chung has went to places like Stop & Shop, Whole Foods and Fresh Market. The group drops the purchases off at the front door of the person who requested the items. The person reimburses Chung and his friends for whatever amount they spent. Reimbursements happen through Venmo or checks left at the door.
"It's not limited to groceries, just errands in general," says Lorenz.
The teens are also willing to do errands such as dropping items off at the post office. They also try to offer comfort and compassion during what can be a scary time.
"People have really liked it so far," says Andrade. "I know I talked to my parents about it a couple days ago. They love the idea. They want my grandparents to get into it."
The teens say they're ready to help out anyone in Westport and surrounding areas. The only thing they will not do is go inside someone's home.
