Stamford police are searching for the man who robbed a person at an ATM Tuesday.
Police say the victim was walking to his car after using the ATM at the Wells Fargo in a shopping plaza on High Ridge Road near Buxton Farms Road. The suspect allegedly confronted him in the parking lot and told him he had a knife before stealing several hundred dollars. Police say the victim had just cashed a check.
The victim, a man in his 20s, told police he was not injured in the robbery and that despite the suspect saying he had a knife, he never saw one. He says the suspect ran off after robbing him.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s with dirty blonde hair. He stands about 6 feet tall and was wearing a black North Face jacket and light-colored jeans.
