Metro-North: New Haven line back on schedule after signal equipment fire near Greenwich

GREENWICH - Metro-North officials say New Haven line trains are running back on schedule after an electrical fire caused hours of delays Saturday.

Commuters experienced delays of more than an hour between the Cos Cob and Port Chester stops earlier in the morning.

Several train riders told News 12 Connecticut the conductors encouraged riders to get off the train in Stamford and either wait until trains were running again or find alternate modes of transportation.

Metro-North officials say they have a new Spring schedule that should improve commuting for passengers and reliability of the rail line.
