A Milford teen is being considered a massive success in his community after starting a small business four months ago.
Brandon Connor, 16, says his business BC Luxury helps phone users who often drop and crack their phones. The shop offers customized phone cases in any color, including a 24-karat gold version for high-rollers.
Connor says his business not only helps protects phones, but makes them more fashionable as well.
The teen says Apple phone parts are very expensive and not so attractive. He claims that his product is cheaper and is in high demand.
Connor works on his business seven days a week. He even admits that he has gotten in trouble in the hallways of Foran High School for being on his phone to do business.
The self-invested entrepreneur says it all started with the money he made after selling his guitar and a wrist watch.
While his business grows, Connor encourages others to become success stories of their own. "Don't ever tell yourself, 'I'm 15 years old, I can't get a job.' Go out and do it," he says.
Connor says since opening, he has sold almost 100 of the colored cases and nearly 20 of the 24-karat gold cases.
Besides paying for college, Connor says he has always wanted to own a Ferrari. Based on projected numbers for this year, Connor says the dream of him pulling up to school in the car may become a reality.
