Milford residents say they heard what they thought were firecrackers around 4 a.m. Wednesday when the sound of gun shots resonated through their neighborhood.
Police say five bullets went through three buildings on Broadway but they didn't hit anyone.
Police responded and searched the area near Walnut Beach on Thursday, but didn't find anything until later in the day when homeowner Thomas Francoeur called about a hole in his window.
?I thought somebody threw a rock through the window so I was looking for the rock,? Francoeur says.
Francoeur says his son later found a damaged box in their home that was allegedly hit by a bullet.
Police are asking anyone who may have heard or saw anything suspicious in the area to call them at 203-874-2366.
