NEW HAVEN - Officials are investigating what caused a construction accident in New Haven yesterday that killed one person.

A falling beam killed one and hurt three more at the site on Winchester Avenue. One of the injured remains in critical condition.

Officials say the beam fell into a cherry picker and then to the ground as it was being lifted.

The Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration will also be investigating the accident.
