1 dead, another hurt in Bridgeport shooting

BRIDGEPORT - Bridgeport police are searching for answers today after a double shooting left one man dead and another hurt.

It happened yesterday morning near the corner of Boston and Bishop avenues.

Police say Shawn Parks, 37, of The Bronx, was driving away from the area when he was fatally shot in the head.

A bouncer at a nearby strip club, Sherman Perry, 38, of Milford, was shot in the leg.

Detectives say it appears the people involved had been arguing inside the strip club.

Police say after talking with Perry and other witnesses that they have a number of strong leads, but are still asking anyone with information to call 203-581-5201.

No arrests have been made.
