1 in custody after police open fire in Bridgeport

(05/27/08) BRIDGEPORT ? Police in Bridgeport have arrested one man after an incident forced officers to open fire at 123 Sanford Ave. Monday night.

Police say they witnessed one man pointing a shotgun at individuals in a car at around 6:30 p.m. Another person at the scene may have been armed as well. Officers opened fire on the suspects, but no one was hurt.

Investigators are seeking another person possibly involved with the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Bridgeport police at 203-576-7601.
