12-year-old arrested after allegation of bullying

STAMFORD - News 12 Connecticut spoke exclusively today with the parents of middle-school aged children in Stamford following the arrest of a 12-year-old over bullying allegations.

The 12-year-old girl from Stamford has been charged with disorderly conduct after police say she repeatedly bullied a classmate.

Stamford police say the parents of a 13-year-old at a private middle school told them last month their child was being harassed so severely that she threatened to kill herself.

They say officers got involved when the bullying increased and the victim made comments about committing suicide.

The alleged bully will have a permanent record as a result of the charges she is facing.

This incident comes after the suicide of Greenwich High School student Bart Palosz. His family says he killed himself after the first day of class because he was bullied.
