Fairfield police say the boy was taken to the hospital after being hit by an SUV.

FAIRFIELD - Fairfield police say a 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being hit by an SUV.

Police say it happened yesterday on Castle Avenue after the boy rode his scooter into the street in front of an oncoming Jeep.
     
Police say the driver will not be charged and the boy is expected to be OK.
