15-year-old boy shot on Agawam Trail in Shelton

SHELTON - Police say a 15-year-old boy was shot in the head outside his home in Shelton, near the Stratford line.

The shooting happened on Agawam Trail at around 8:45 p.m. Saturday. Investigators say the teen was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital in critical condition.

Neighbors tell News 12 Connecticut they heard at least two shots fired and then saw the victim laying in the driveway outside of his home.

It was not immediately clear who fired the shots. Investigators from local and state police were on the property searching for evidence Sunday.

No arrests have been made.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.
