STRATFORD - State officials say the first human case of West Nile virus this season has been confirmed in Stratford.

Officials for the state Mosquito Management Program say the infected person is between 60 and 69 years old.

They say the patient got sick the last week of July.

They say the person was not hospitalized and is now recovering.
