WESTPORT - Members of a Jewish Congregation in Westport said Wednesday that they are still shaken after a potentially dangerous pro-Palestinian protest incident interrupted a luncheon with the members of the Israeli Defense Force at Temple Israel.

Police say that Daniel Fischer and Gregory Williams, both 25, entered the building and refused demands to leave. The two allegedly headed to the second floor, where 80 women were attending the charity luncheon.

Both men are 25 years old, live in New Haven and identified themselves as college students.

"This incident was absolutely regrettable. We feel terrible that it happened because it was scary to many in our congregation," said Rabbi Michael Friedman.

Rabbi Friedman says that a panel of temple members will decide what additional security measures will be the best options.
