2 charged in overnight chase, carjacking

BRIDGEPORT - Police say two men were charged this afternoon after two crashes and a carjacking in Bridgeport last night.

Officials say it started when officers tried to pull over a car, which resulted in a chase that began on Chopsey Hill Road and ended in a rollover near Marion and Main streets.

Police say the driver, Dajon Santos, 26, and his passenger, Ramar Gray, 27, fled from the vehicle, carjacked another vehicle and took off, leading to a second chase.

Authorities say the second chase ended when the stolen car crashed into another car on Marion Street, causing both vehicles to flip.
