2 charged in Stratford drug bust

STRATFORD - Police say two people were arrested Friday morning in a drug bust conducted by State Police, Stratford police and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

State Police say narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at 338 Jackson Ave. in Stratford and found more than $65,000 worth of prescription drugs, including oxycotin and codine. Authorities also found thousands of dollars in cash and notebooks that outlined alleged drug deals.

Ernesto Caribe and Deborah Bump have been charged with various drug felonies and risk of injury to a child. A 9-year-old living with them has been taken away by child protective services.
