WESTPORT - Two Bridgeport men faced a judge today after they were captured following an armed bank robbery. Police are also close to arresting a third suspect.

Police say the TD Bank on the Post Road was held up at gunpoint at around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Surveillance cameras captured two suspects entering the bank. Police say they had a gun, demanded cash and got into a car driven by a third suspect.

Officers arrested Lancelot Supersad, 19, a short time later at the intersection of Greens Farms and Westway roads.

Officers say Supersad told them the names of his accomplices. Authorities arrested Anthony Santiago, 20, early Thursday morning.

Police are waiting for a warrant to be signed to arrest the third suspect. Court officials say the third suspect is the one who had the gun inside the bank.

Court officials say neither Supersad nor Santiago have a criminal record, but both now face serious charges. The men work together at a retail store and both live with their mothers in Bridgeport.

Supersad and Santiago are being held on bond and are due back in court in two weeks. Stratford police say the same group tried to rob a credit union in their town prior to the Westport robbery, and they will be charged in that as well.
