Two families in Norwalk are homeless after a fire ripped through their home. Flames broke out at the house on Sheridan Street at around 2:30

NORWALK - Two families in Norwalk are homeless after a fire ripped through their home.

Flames broke out at the house on Sheridan Street at around 2:30 a.m.

Firefighters believe the the fire started in the basement and quickly spread to the rest of the house, including several cars parked out front.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
