NORWALK - Two people are in critical condition after a fire tore through their home in Norwalk Sunday morning.

The fire started at around 5:30 a.m. on Pettom Road.

Firefighters say four people were in the home at the time. They say two escaped through a window, but one person was found behind the front door and another was in a bedroom.

Officials have not released the names of the victims, but say they are being treated at Bridgeport Hospital's burn unit.

Neighbors say they watched it all unfold and are still shocked by what happened.

Firefighters were on the scene Monday conducting their investigation into what may have caused the fire.
