BRIDGEPORT - State Health officials say two people in Bridgeport have tested positive for West Nile virus.
They are the first human cases in the state so far this season.
Officials say one patient is in their 40s, and the other is in their 70s.
They were hospitalized last month, and have since been discharged.
Mosquitoes carrying the virus have been found in 20 communities across the state, including Bridgeport, Darien, Greenwich, Norwalk, Stamford, Stratford, Westport and Wilton.
