MILFORD - Two service plazas along I-95 in Milford are set to temporarily close for renovations at midnight.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) will shut down the north and southbound rest stops for the overhaul. It says the plan will create about 350 jobs.

According to the DOT, as many as 590 cars travel through the service areas every hour, but those drivers will have to find another place to stop until the project finishes in about a year.

Many truck drivers say they're concerned about the loss of overnight parking spaces and want the DOT to keep the parking lot open.
