NORWALK - Two kayakers had to be rescued after getting stuck in the ice in Norwalk Harbor.

Firefighters got a call yesterday morning about two people in a kayak near Marvin Beach.

They say callers told them the kayakers were trying to break through the ice to get back to shore.

Fire officials picked up the kayakers in their boat.

They say they were dressed in street clothes and not wearing any protective layers, but are OK.
