2 killed, 2 hurt in Westport accident

WESTPORT - A man and woman from Rhode Island were killed, and two people from Bridgeport were hurt today in an early morning accident on I-95 in Westport.

Fairfield fire officials say the car was heading northbound on I-95 when it left the road just after 3 a.m. It then rolled over the guardrail, and fell 100 feet down an embankment. Two people, 32-year-old Jamain Jerry Allen and 27-year-old Jennifer Shaver, were treated for injuries. A 46-year-old man and 25-year-old woman were both pronounced dead at the scene.

State police are investigating the accident, and it is not known if alcohol played a factor.
