WESTPORT - Two people were killed by falling trees as a powerful storm blew through southwestern Connecticut this weekend.

One of the fatal incidents happened in Westport where a woman from New Jersey died when a tree crashed onto her SUV.

Jennifer Thibault , 39, was in town to visit her sisters when the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, a 61-year-old woman is dead and her husband hurt after a tree fell on them on Boulder Brook Road in Greenwich.

Police say they were out for a walk when the tree fell on top of them.

Police have not identified the victims.
