MANSFIELD - (AP) - Superstorm Sandy has claimed a second life in Connecticut.

The Easton Fire Department says a firefighter has died from injuries suffered when a tree fell on his truck Monday evening on Judd Road.

The name of the firefighter has not been released.

State police earlier reported the death of a person in Mansfield, after a tree struck three family members.

State police say the family had lost power and was attempting to make its way to the home of a neighbor who still had electricity. The other two victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
