STAMFORD - Two men who jumped in to help a teenage girl as a man was trying to stab her were honored in Stamford today.

Stamford Mayor Mike Pavia and Police Chief Robert Nivakoff presented Rocco Zappia and Mark Henderson with commendations after they jumped out of their cars to stop the man.

Ronald Gordon, 47, has been charged in the case and is undergoing a psychiatric evaluation. Police say he told them voices told him to stab the teen.
