2 students accused of setting fire inside Stamford Academy

STAMFORD - Police say two students at Stamford Academy were arrested today for starting a fire in the high school bathroom.

Authorities say two 17-year-old female students started the fire this afternoon and were arrested at the end of the school day.

A staff member at the school says a teacher was injured while trying to put out the fire.

There were also reports of someone with a gun in the building; however, police say no weapon was found.

Police say the students will not face serious charges.
