SHELTON - Two Connecticut teens were killed Friday night after the driver of the car lost control and struck a tree, police say.

Shelton police Det. Sgt. Kevin Ahern said 19-year-old Lawrence Morra, of Stratford, hit a guard rail while exiting Route 8 near Constitution Boulevard South, then went down an embankment and hit a tree.

The crash killed Morra and a front seat passenger, 18-year-old Viviana Cavalli, of Shelton.

Kassandra Dimas, 18, who was riding in the back seat, was able to crawl away. Authorities say she is in satisfactory condition at a hospital.
