NORWALK - Packages that were supposed to be delivered to people in Norwalk Monday may have ended up in the wrong hands after two UPS trailers were burglarized over the weekend.

According to authorities, sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning, one or more burglars broke into the trailers and opened packages, taking what they liked and discarding the rest.

In a statement, a UPS spokesperson called the incident an "exception," adding that the company has "a variety of safety measures and security."

People who think they are missing a package are asked to call UPS at 1-800-PICK-UPS.
