BRIDGEPORT - Twenty-five new officers took their oaths today to serve the Bridgeport Police Department. Mayor Bill Finch helped swear in the men and women at the Bridgeport Police Training Division. Police Chief Joseph Gaudett says the new members of the department worked long and hard to be sworn in, and that he is proud of them. Gaudett says 20 of the officers are paid for by a federal stimulus grant.
