26-year-old Bridgeport man struck, killed by car

State police say a man from Bridgeport was struck by a car and killed in Waterbury Saturday.

WATERBURY - State police say a man from Bridgeport was struck by a car and killed in Waterbury Saturday.

Officers say 26-year-old Melvin Gordils was walking on an exit ramp on Route 8 when a car hit him yesterday morning.  

News 12 is told Gordils died at the scene. No one else was injured.

Police say they're still investigating and no one is facing charges at this time.
