NEW HAVEN - (AP) - Authorities are continuing toinvestigate the cause of a powerful explosion at a Connecticutpower plant that killed five workers, while colleagues mourn theloss of the men they called brothers.

The Feb. 7 explosion, which sounded like a sonic boom and couldbe heard and felt for miles, blew apart large swaths of the nearlycompleted 620-megawatt Kleen Energy Systems plant south of Hartfordas workers for O&G Industries Inc. purged a gas line. Authoritieshave been interviewing survivors, sifting through the debris forevidence and trying to pinpoint the cause.

Funerals were held Saturday for three pipefitters killed,Raymond Dobratz of Old Saybrook, Peter C. Chepulis of Thomaston,and Ronald Crabb Colchester.
