3 men accused of selling prescription drug Suboxone in Stamford

Investigators say the men were selling Suboxone, a prescription drug used to wean people off heroin. They say people are abusing the drug by combining it with other drugs and alcohol. (3/7/14)

STAMFORD - Three men faced a judge today on charges they were allegedly selling drugs in Stamford.

Investigators say the men were selling Suboxone, a prescription drug used to wean people off heroin.  They say people are abusing the drug by combining it with other drugs and alcohol.

Police say they made undercover drug purchases from the suspects and subsequently arrested them.

Authorities say the suspects either got the Suboxone prescriptions themselves or knew someone who did.
