GREENWICH - Four brush fires broke out in the Town of Greenwich today, including one that destroyed nearly half an acre of land.
Greenwich fire officials say there was a perfect storm of conditions ? low humidity, wind and dryness.
A brush fire on Laddins Rock Road may have been sparked by a camp fire, officials say. Firefighters in two departments spent more than an hour extinguishing the blaze and used 500 feet of hose.
No one was injured in any of the fires.
Fire officials are warning residents to be careful about what they throw out.
