5 arrested in Norwalk armed robbery

NORWALK - Five people were arraigned today in connection with a robbery in Norwalk.

Police say a man and his girlfriend were robbed and beaten last night by three men and two women at the McDonald's on Main Avenue.

Investigators say the suspects fled, but were caught and arrested by police about two hours later at a Shell gas station about a quarter of a mile from the scene.

All five suspects are facing robbery and conspiracy charges. One of the women was also charged with drug possession after police say they found cocaine in her purse.

Bond was set at $200,000 for all of the suspects.
